Story mountains

This week we finished the book Journey then used story mountains to plot how the story had developed. At the end of the story the boy and girl go off on a magic bicycle. The children then used story mountains and story boards to plan their own stories which started where this story finished. They then started writing their stories. The stories needed to say what the characters and setting were at the start, then include a build up, a problem, resolution (how the problem was solved) and an ending. Something you could ask your children to do is to make up a story including a problem and a resolution ( how it is solved).
