Sign & Play
Sign and Play is an activity held in the Early Years area of Heathlands School, 1.30pm – 3.00pm on specific Wednesdays (see list below).

Any child under 5 years, Deaf or hearing, along with their parent or carer is welcome to attend. We encourage families to join us to have fun and learn together.
Sign and play gives children and their families the opportunity to :
- learn some sign language
- play with other friends who are learning to sign
- join in learning activities
- explore our learning environment
- meet and socialise with other families of Deaf children and users of sign language.
Heathlands have a specialist staff team who are expert in sign language, child and early education, language and communication development. They are on hand to support throughout each sign and play session.
There is no need to book in advance. Families are welcome to attend on a regular or occasional basis.
