Sharon Heaney – British Sign Language Centre Co-ordinator
I joined the BSL Centre in November 2021 as the Centre Co-ordinator, a role with a broad range of responsibilities where I manage our daily administration and support our learners. As I have a strong background as a BSL student myself, I understand some of the challenges our learners face. I am also the Exams Officer and an exam invigilator, ensuring the assessment process runs smoothly and supportively for our team and students.
Malachi Oram – Tutor of BSL
I’m a proud former pupil of Heathlands Primary and Secondary School, now back as a BSL tutor for Levels 1 and 2. With a BSL Level 6 certificate and a TQUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training, I’m passionate about sharing the language that shaped my journey.
Alex Kravchenko – Tutor of BSL
Whilst I am a recent addition to the BSL teaching team, I am dedicated to guiding new groups of learners and love sharing inspiring experiences from my own life journey. I also bring a global perspective, as I am fluent in British, Ukrainian, Russian, and American Sign Languages alongside a working knowledge of Netherlands Sign Language.
