Meet The Team
My name is Mrs Shields, Co-Head Teacher
I am the Co-Head Teacher, also responsible for Pastoral Care, which includes the management of Heath House. I work with the Heath House team to ensure an outstanding boarding experience is provided for all children and young people which meets all the statutory requirements.
My name is Tom (Lead Residential Support Worker)
I am the senior Residential Support Worker in Heath House and have now worked at Heathlands for nineteen years. My role is to oversee the day to day running of Heath House, ensure children and young people feel safe and happy and are provided with a 24 hour learning experience. I enjoy going on Heath House trips and especially enjoy sharing my love of cooking with the residents.
My name is Lena (Residential Support Worker)
I have worked in Heath House for two years as a Residential Support Worker. When I was growing up I attended Heathlands School as a day pupil however I experienced boarding in Derby College for three years.
I can empathise with how Heath House pupils may feel in boarding being away from their families. I like to make sure all children and young people are happy, relaxed and enjoy themselves with plenty of activities. I love animals so help look after the Heath House rabbits and enjoy leading art and craft activities.
My name is Neal (Residential Support Worker)
I promote activities for the children at Heath House to enjoy. The experiences that I had in the past 5 years with primary and secondary departments at Heathlands School, have put me in a good stead in working with all aged children at Heath House. I also ensure that they feel safe and secure in Heath House environments.
