Entry requirements
Please see Heathlands admission policy. Heathlands Sixth form is suitable for students who need a Total Communication approach and not purely oral/aural methods. Education, Health and Care Plans must have the requirement or preference for sign language or sign support.
What grades do I need?
To study 3 A Levels you will need to achieve 5 GCSE grade 9-5s, you must also have a minimum of grade 4 in English and Maths. Certain subjects might require specific grade entry.
If I do not manage to achieve the entry requirements, what happens?
Sixth form admission would have a conversation about your strengths and look if there are some courses that you are likely to both enjoy and do well in. We approach each student on a case by case basis.
Do I choose 3 subjects?
All students will take three A level subjects or equivalent. A few students might take 2 A levels if they are re-siting both English and Maths.
