Busy Bees!
This week in Bees class we have been reading our new story for English called ‘Dangerous’ by Tim Warnes by. A mole likes to label things, and he finds something he is unsure what it is. He starts labelling it with adjectives. This week the children have been describing different animals using the ‘what like’ shape.
In maths, we have been partitioning numbers into thousands, hundreds, tens and ones. Children understanding the value of each digit is important to support the foundation for many maths domains.
In History the children have been learning about Henry VIII. The children were shocked he had 6 wives! Also that 2 wives were beheaded. One the children dressed as King Henry VIII whilst the others pretended to be his wives.
There is a trip to Hampton Court Palace on October 8th. A letter went home in your child’s zippy about packed lunches and payments for the trip on arbour.
Polite reminder – You child’s reading book is in their zippy bags, reading every day is really important. We ask for your child to read to an adult daily.
