Keen Investigators

In Science this half term we have been learning about solids, liquids and gases.

We have specifically been investigating how solids changed into liquids when they melt.

So far we have investigated:

– How quickly ice melts in different temperatures
– How the type of chocolate can impact how quickly it melts (white, milk, and dark chocolate)
– The different melting temperatures of different types of metal

Lynx class have followed the scientific method where they start by writing a question they want to investigate, then they discuss what materials they need and the method to investigate, then finally before they start their investigation they give their prediction of what the results will be.

After their investigations they record the results and discuss what happened.
