Key Stage 3
All students follow the KS3 National Curriculum. There are subject specialist teachers of the deaf covering all National Curriculum subjects.
Individual disapplication for the study of Music enables additional timetabled lessons of English and Speech and Language Therapy. Some students are also disapplied from the study of a modern foreign language.
Enhanced staffing has enabled each KS3 year group to be further subdivided into two or more ability groups allowing very small class sets of between 4 and 8 students. As such some groups will be prepared to commence GCSE courses in the Summer Term of Year 9.
Mr Jason Hazrati is the Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Upper School. He is responsible for the organisation and monitoring of teaching and learning within the Upper School curriculum.
