Structuring English story starters
This morning Robins class were starting to think about different ways to start a story. They looked at different opening sentences from well known fairytales and had to guess which story they were from, then explain why they knew it was that story.
They then used structural learning blocks to write simple sentences which could start a story from a given picture. They the had a challenge to add an adverb to their sentence (can you spot the adverb they added from their photos?). This is the start of a work in progress and will continue tomorrow.
(Things you could practice at home: think about where sometime is and write or sign using prepositions ‘on a chair, in the bath, under the table’)
