Understanding Digestion Through Practical Science
The pupils were learning about the digestive system as part of their Science lesson, and they really enjoyed the hands-on activity. They used mashed food to represent how teeth break down food, a sandwich bag and vinegar to model the stomach and stomach acid, tights to show how the intestines absorb nutrients and water, and finally the rectum to demonstrate how waste is expelled.
