Groovy week!
Woohooo this week has been filled with lots of different celebrations for Heathlands 50th anniversary!
The children got to meet Mollie Kennedy who was Heathlands first ever headteacher. She is now 93! The children were very excited to meet her and ask lots of questions.
On Thursday Debbie Jones Stephens came into school who started at Heathlands as Deputy Headteacher and later became Heathlands third headteacher. She retired in 2019. The fourth headteachers, the children have already met 😉
Some ex-students also came in which was lovely to hear about their achievements since leaving Heathlands. Sanna who is now 28 has achieved 3 degrees meaning she is a DR.
The children had a rugby lesson with an expert who previously attended Heathlands which they really enjoyed.
Hopefully you’ve seen the drone footage of the children and staff creating the Heathlands’ H. This can be found on facebook through the Heathlands page.
Dress up in1970’s was AMAZING!!! Everyone made such a great effort so thank you.
I am back now so hopefully I will see you at drop off or pick up times 😊
Homework has gone home in their folders!
