Great week
This week in maths we have been learning about Quadrilaterals. This is a closed 2D shape with 4 straight sides. We have looked at a parallelogram, a rhombus, a square and a rectangle. We have also recapped our learning on symmetry and time. We will continue learning about time next week.
In English we have been learning some new vocabulary: peculiar, extraordinary, perching, nesting and ornithologist. Please do ask your child what they mean. 😊
On Thursday the children had a different morning learning about VE day. They looked great in their blue, white and red.
Bike mobility starts next week for the Year 5 children – helmets are needed in order to participate, if you have already contacted Mrs Mtanda she will get back to you. We can look after and store your child’s bike if needed, please let Mrs Mtanda know so this can be organised.
Friendly reminder – ongoing homework is for your child to practise timetables. They can do this in many ways: writing them, telling them to you/family or on timetables rock stars. Please see website: https://play.ttrockstars.com/
All logins are in your child’s orange reading record.
Please remember homework is due in by Tuesday. Thank you.
Have a lovely weekend.
