This half term, Barn Owls have been learning how to play rounders during their PE lessons. They have explore the rules of the games and how to play it successful. Rounder is a fun but tricky games.. the children really enjoyed it.

Cuckoos, Hoopoes and Swift classes visited Hazard Alley last week. They explored a range of scenarios and learnt about keeping themselves safe.

We have been looking at adults and their offspring. What is similar what is different. Some children didn’t recognise themselves as babies. We also talked about how some traits are inherited.
Pupils have finished the Rama and Sita story and have been, answering comprehension questions, learning lots of new vocabulary ( such as: returned, reunited, astonished, imprisoned etc.) and phrases ( such as: fly like the wind, the speed of light etc.). Today in maths the children were split into 2 teams, they had to use their maths knowledge to figure out the answers in order to unlock the phone to make it home.
We focused on reading digital clocks – looking at hours, minutes and seconds. The children used timers to record how long it took each person to run. They are beginning to understand that a shorter time means the child was quicker.
